Assessment of your pain
We conduct a comprehensive assessment looking into your pain and how it affects you. This will include a:
- Comprehensive history
- Physical examination
- Review and organize investigations including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray and blood test results
Review and optimize medications
We review your current medications, and optimize your analgesia using the latest evidence-based medicine and extensive knowledge in pharmacology. Some examples of common analgesics include:
- Anti-inflammatories (Non-specific and COX-2 inhibitors)
- Alpha-2 agonists
- Atypical opioids / typical opioids
- NMDA antagonists
- Anticonvulsants
- Antidepressants
Multidisciplinary coordination
We work with other specialists and allied health members to coordinate a multidisciplinary plan for you. Examples of other health professionals we work with include:

Procedural intervention
We conduct a variety of interventional pain procedures that may be suited to your condition. We perform procedures for back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, leg pain, knee pain, headaches etc. Examples of some procedures we perform include:
- Facet joint injections and rhizotomies (neck and back pain)
- Epidural with adhesiolysis (sciatica)
- Nerve root sleeve injections (sciatica)
- Greater occipital nerve block and rhizotomy (headaches)
- Suprascapular nerve block and rhizotomy (shoulder pain)
- Genicular nerve rhizotomies (knee pain)
